everything was dirty from frotn desk which was locked one strange guy came with a key from small window,beds were old and dirty,not fit for living,mold every where ,asked for key deposit but not staffed to return or get deposit back,nasty

Condemned not fit for living

The room we stayed in had old stained carpet that had not been vacuumed ... found things like an old incense stick on the floor.   The bathroom needed a good cleaning too.   The bed was comfortable although the sheets were old (they were clean),   The walkways had trash and cigarette butts.   I would never stay in this place again.

I can overlook the grease on the carpets and towels etc....   Maybe the owners struggle financially...   I try not to judge.....
BUT - They run a SCAM re the $5 key deposit.    No key card - a KEY.   Must be returned to get your $5 back.

We planned to leave for our next destination (on a schedule) around 7 AM.    We went to the office to return the key, to find a note saying to go to Room 110.   So we did.   We were 'greeted' with the news that they cannot accept the key until a couple of hours later.

Really?      We are supposed to 'hang out' in their boiling hot parking lot and WAIT for our deposit?    Temps were at least 100 degrees - no fault of the Economy Inn owners for the weather - I do not blame them for the weather.

SUGGESTION-    Have a drop box for the keys.      Later in the day, when you finally get up and into the office --- go online and refund the $5 to the visitor.

Make THAT a policy.    Its not rocket science.     

What they are doing NOW - is a SCAM.   ....   a scam to get an additional $5 per key.      No one is going to wait 2-3 hours to get $5 back - and they know it.

Bad Karma.     no wonder their place is a dump.
