I rented a room for two nights during the Bluecut fire. My co-workers recommended it and I was glad I took their advice. The owners were very nice and helpful.  I felt very safe coming and going. The motel was very quiet. The rooms were comforatable and clean, very well cared for.  The water pressure was great and the water was hot.  They had cable television and internet. The motel was in a good location near a variety of eating places and stores.  There was hot coffee and continental breakfast in the lobby if you wanted.  The price was good. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone traveling thru or just needing a room. If you are making a decision of which motel this is the motel you want to stay at. You'll be glad you did.  I would definitely stay there again.

The Devonshire Inn is a great find.

I was driving through and it was late in the day so I stopped and spent the night here. There is a $10 pet fee but the wonderful night clerk used my AAA discount to cover the additional charge. The room was old and worn but clean AND the air conditioning worked great as did the flat screen TV, cable and all. Plus a nice hot shower in the morning. The serve cereal, juice, coffee, and tea in the morning.  It was better than I thought and they take pets!

The location is extremely convenient if you are headed for one of the Willow Springs Tracks. There are a couple of decent restaurants within walking distance. the staff was friendly and efficient. The parking lot is large enough, well paved and flat. You can not park directly in front of your room. 
The room was clean but worn. The shower had decent water pressure and hot water. The overall impression was "worn out". While everything worked, there is definitely a need to catch up with maintenance.
The "included breakfast" consists of coffee and some cereals - but there is a great dinner just across the street.

Great Location - but needs some TLC

We were racing at Willow Springs race track and stayed here 7 years ago and it was in good condition then. This time the main problem was the heater that worked but made a very loud noise because of the fan. So we froze the first night, The second night we got an extra cover off the second bed.The bathroom area was in urgent need of paint and a good cleaning. There was even pink graffiti on the inside of the shower curtain rod. I did see and hear someone who looked like a painter at one of the upstairs rooms. So I am hoping that a repainting and good cleaning is systematically happening. The woman receptionist was the best, and made up for any bad feelings.I would not come back here unless I knew that it had been upgraded.

The light wouldn’t turn on inside the door.  The curtain was off its track.  The mechanism that routes water through the shower head worked at maybe 25% capacity.  Lucky my wife wasn’t along because the odor would have sent her right back out the door. Rug cleanliness was sketchy

But the sheets were clean

I wasn’t expecting the Ritz, but . . .

The absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If you’re looking for a prostitute this is the place.  Unbelievably blatant about what was happening there. Pimps picked up the women in the morning. Horrible experience. Beware of the black Dodge Nitro that is parked so you can hit it. The vehicle is beat to crap with expired plates and beer cardboard holding up her driver window. She’ll ask you for $500, but if you ask her for her insurance information she’ll run to her room at the hotel. The owners of the hotel are aware of what is happening there.

Prostitution Hotel

First, I don't know if this is the fault of the motel or Orbitz but there was a serious disconnect with this stay. We went to Willow Springs raceway to watch some friends racing and our usual hotels were booked in Lancaster due to a youth soccer tournament. My wife booked a room through Orbitz at the Devonshire after reading some OK reviews and we figured that all we needed was a clean bed for the night. Orbitz confirmed a non smoking room for a decent price so we booked it. When we arrived, we were given the key, went to our room and instantly recognized it was a smoking room from the stench so I went to the office to make a change and was told there were no other rooms available even though we had a non-smoking room confirmed through Orbitz. The lady at the front desk had some story about things not working out because we booked through Orbitz which seems lame but here's where the disconnect is. She also apologized because we were not in one of their "better" rooms which was a massive understatement. The room was disgusting (see photos) and was not fit to cook meth in. I'm sure not all of their rooms are this bad but this one should just be boarded up or demolished. We stayed at the track as late as possible because we dreaded going back to the room and when we finally did, we went straight into the bed, slept, woke up in the morning and left immediately without using or touching anything. It was so bad we even considered just sleeping in the car at the track. If Orbitz is going to continue to work with this property, they better beware of their reputation.
