First, it is clean and the staff is FANTASTIC!  This place is close to the hot spots...the beach, ATV rentals, the go cart place and trinket shops.  If you are taking kids, I would HIGHLY recommend getting the kids suite. It has a queen and a bunk.  It was perfect for our kids.  We got the room right next to it.  Plan to eat outside of this town though.  

About the staff:  I had an issue, on my end, with my booking and the owner was AMAZING to work with.  He was pleasant and helpful.  After a long drive it was nice to have someone so easy to work with.  

Worth it!

Great place to stay for a short visit to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes area.  Very clean rooms, friendly staff, pool and hot tub were just right and plenty of parking and staging for off road toys. Charcoal grills and fire pits on-site to use help achieve that “camping” experience without all the work that goes with it. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean rooms and public areas, friendly & professional staff members to include the owner who walks around and offers assistance if needed. This is our 2nd time staying here since 2021 and will be returning. Very close to most attractions. Has a heated pool and hot tub.

Very clean and friendly place to stay at Silver Lake.

Sean and his staff were great. They were very attentive to our request to keep our 5 rooms together and the couple of reserveation changes. We had a family of 10 and everyone enjoyed their stay. The pool, hot tub fire pit and picnic area were great to have and the walk to the "downtown" area was short and very convenient.

Family Fun Weekend

My daily stayed 2 nights here and everything was excellent. A very professional and friendly staff and clean rooms which appear to be well maintained. There’s a pool, hot tub and a large area behind the hotel where you can build a fire or just relax with your family. Not many choices to stay in the Silver Lakes area but this one is definitely worth trying.

Great weekend getaway

We made a spur of the moment trip up north when our previous vacation plans fell through. We stumbled upon this hotel by pure luck. After spending the first 1/2 of our vacation in a not so desirable resort we were genuinely thrilled with the Sierra Sands hotel. By far the cleanest, friendliest and all around best bang for our buck. The staff, especially Katie and Shawn were beyond helpful, courteous and accommodating. The hotel is very well maintained, clean and very welcoming. We will definitely be returning as  guests and will highly recommend this location to anyone visiting the area.

amazing place!

The Sierra Sands is very convenient if you are in town to drive or hike the sand dunes or use Silver Lake.

But I was most impressed with the owner/manager. He was very responsive and went out of his way to help us out of a jam.

Rooms are clean and nice. We were there in the off season, but the pool looks nice. It looks like it would be fun to hang out by the fire pit near the kids' play-sets out back when there are more people around. I'll be returning in warmer weather.

My family including two little kids had to stay there for two nights because of a disabled vehicle.

I didn't expect much, because we didn't plan to stay  there.  But I was so surprised to know it was a extremely nice place.  The owners was super nice to us and they provided lots of extra help. The hotel is very clean and kids can play at the playground.  The location is close to lots of important places to visit.  

Because we didn't have a car to drive, we walked to the general store they recommended to buy food.  The cheese bread and pizza are so yummy.

Thank you for making our frustrated trip so satisfying.

Such a nice place stay!!!

Clean, comfortable, and reasonable.  The location is very convenient to Silver Lake, sand dunes, state park, shopping, restaurants, lighthouses, etc.   This was our first time at Sierra Sands, but we will no doubt be returning.  The owner was very helpful and recommended several restaurants and points of interest.  He even arranged our Dune Buggy rental, which by the way was worth every penny.  So much fun!

What a Gem!

Clean, comfortable beds. Walking distance to all the activities. Owners are super friendly. Clean, large outdoor pool. Playground area for kids, full basketball court, firepit, cornhole boards. Will definitely be back!!
