We made our first trip to Savannah and stayed at the Historic Foley House Inn. This boutique hotel is in the middle of the historic district. Located across the street from Chippewa Square. Once we parked our car, we were able to walk everywhere. This site is beyond convenient. We travel with an Australian Shepard and this Inn is pet friendly. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. We met the new owner of the Inn and she is truly awesome. She shared with us her plans for the future and we could not be more pleased and excited for her and the Inn. We will be back next year.

beyond our expectations

One of the best parts of our stay was the complimentary evening wine hour in the living room of the main house. We had the opportunity to sit and visit with many of the other guests while sipping some good wine. Sharing our group experiences was unique and gave us the feel of a family gathering. The breakfast table and pastries were quite yummy. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend The Foley House to others visiting Savannah. The other best part, dead center of the historic district. Perfect.

Central to Historical Savannah

My husband and I stayed at the Foley House Inn for the second time this year, and it was an even better experience this time! Not only is the inn historic and beautiful, but it employs awesome people! We were pulling a trailer and had called ahead to ask if there was a place we would be able to park it downtown. When we arrived we were met outside by a young man named Kareem. He had been waiting for us, and actually walked next to our truck while we drove so he could point out a place for us to park. It was extremely appreciated! I don’t know what we would’ve done without his help. We then checked in, and were greeted by Chuck. He has an awesome sense of humor, and he made us feel right at home. Chuck and Kareem are two extremely friendly, helpful men who made our stay even more enjoyable. We cannot wait to return! 

Amazing staff!

This was our honeymoon trip and the staff here made it a perfect getaway. From the moment we checked in, the friendly staff took care of everything. Breakfast was delicious. Traveled with our dogs. Can't recommend a stay here enought.  The rooms are elegant and comfortable.

Perfect Savannah Stay

Have visited Savannah a couple of time now and have stayed at two B&B's and one historic hotel. This B&B is outstanding.

We stayed 2 nights and I can not find anything negative to say about my experience.

I have read people complaining about the breakfast, but do not buy into that. The breakfast is very good, fresh, served hot and is more than enough to fill you up. If you need more than the portion served here you need to find a buffet to visit. For the negative reviews about the quality should first take into consideration that this is a B&B, not a high end restaurant. But again, we found the breakfast to be very good.

We stayed downstairs and the room was great. It was clean and had the classic old school charm that a B&B is supposed to have.

The staff was very polite with yes sir, yes ma'am manners and was attentive and professional. 

We loved the location. Within a short walking distance of the river and all of the popular locations around town.

The parking isnt as bad as some make out either. You can find street parking near by on and around the square. Yes, the city charges for parking mon - sat, but its not going to break you.

If you are looking for a B&B, I would say you will have a hard time finding a better one.

Great B&B In Savannah

This was a birthday weekend for my husband who has many fond memories of trips to Savannah.  Our stay at the Foley Inn, the we learned about in Southern Living Magazine, made the trip truly memorable.  The inn is directly across the street from one of the historic district's many squares and it was easy access to everything we wanted to do.  Don't believe the reviews about inedible breakfasts. The BEST scrambled eggs I ever ate -- and I am a serious cook.  Not to mention the praline French toast.  The only complaint is that the bed was sooooo high we had to catapult ourselves onto the mattress.  Staff could not have been friendlier.  Accommodations and food equally so.  Will definitely stay here again but will bring a step stool with us!

Memorable stay

We stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed meeting and talking with fellow guests. The interior of the Foley House is beautiful as well as cozy with “water color” cool jazz music playing in the background. Chuck was fun to talk to as well as very helpful. We were served a very tasty breakfast each morning and wine at 6:00 pm each night. The location of the Foley House was by the Chippewa Square (Historic District). There were many restaurants in short walking distance. This also included an approximate 15 minute walk to the river shops, restaurants, riverboat, shuttle tours. We enjoyed Savannah so much because we enjoyed everything about the Foley House. 

Charming 

I highly recommend the Foley House Inn and here's why:

This inn, rooms and common areas are impeccably clean. Exceptional linens/towels and high-quality toiletries are a nice touch.

You will enjoy complimentary wine each evening and delicious breakfasts. Contrary to previous reviews, you are not required to eat within 15 minutes - guests are booked at 15-minute intervals to allow for flow - there are several tables inside and outside on their many terraces surrounded by well-kept gardens.

This inn is a gem and the staff are professional, knowledgeable, polite, helpful, and lovely. 

Close to everything, Foley House Inn is an historical building with beautiful antiques - as with any period home, you need to appreciate the character and not expect a modern hotel.

You can download parking app and pay from your bed if you like.

Ignore previous reviewer (Sue B) as there are no bugs. Montrey left to serve his country  - he was not 'let go'. Owners are perfectly stable - not sure about reviewer though.

Lovely, Charming, and Clean!

A very nice stay. Dre, dee, and chuck are excellent employees!! Breakfast was  varied delicious and southern. A few suggestions...add bar soap in the bathroom and toast with egg dishes. Also a bit of maintenance is need...water leaks light bulbs and less flies.

They went out of their way to help me. I am disabled! I stay on ground level, very private. Breakfast is to die for. Its an old house like most in Savannah, Ga. We love it! They also call a Taxi for you . Its in a great location.
