Room was clean, quiet, and fine!  After reading a mix of good and bad reviews, I was somewhat concerned, but I was pleasantly surprised.  I will stay here again if I return to the area.  Don't let the bad reviews deter you.  They may have made more recent improvements to their cleanliness.

Above and beyond.   We stayed only 1 night    But I left my iPad in the room    Manager was so kind in sending it out right away.  Would not even take a tip 
Rooms were decent, price excellent.   A great place to lay your head for the night.

Professional and polite

The hotel was a bit dated but very nice.  Check in was pleasant and the gentleman was very helpful.  Easy on/off to the hotel.  They had a continental breakfast but we did not partake, the ammeniteis in the room were great.  

This is not a AAA 5 diamond facility. It is a Days Inn or Motel 6 executed well in our experience at a very good price.. The man at the desk was very pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly, the wifi was reliable and fast enough for us, we had plenty of hot water, the lavatory drained quickly, the stool flushed well, the shower controls were old but worked well, microwave and frig worked fine, the bed was comfortable. We like the old style motel where you can park close to outside your room if the room is on the first floor rather than the contemporary style of central entry where you have to walk close to a block to the car. I expect all of us have stayed in much nicer hotels where not all of these things could be said. Excellent value for us. 
  The continental breakfast was quite skimpy and the orange juice dispenser was out of order. The banana was good and the bowl of cereal with milk was normal. Bagels, small muffins, bread, apples, and coffee were available. 

Economical done right

The room was dated and worn but very clean and the staff was super friendly. We don't expect much for a place we just use to sleep so it was perfect for the price and the fact that we were able to bring our dog was a double plus.

Little trip

Yes, most of the reviews are pretty accurate here.  It does not look like much on the outside.  It is older and looks like it has seen better days.  But if you just need a place to stay for the night, this may be the right place for you.  

The room was basic.  But it was clean.  The bed was comfortable.  The heater worked better than in many more expensive hotels.  There is coffee in the room and the lobby all the time.  The staff members at the front desk were very nice to deal with.  For the price, it can't be beat. 

Many people don't like the motel-style places.  But I really like the convenience of parking right at the room.  Very easy!  I will stay here again if I'm in Seymour.

Not bad for a peaceful night

Just your basic hotel room with a small desk, dresser and TV. It was very clean. Beds slept okay. Smelled musty when we walked in but turned on the air conditioner and it quickly went away.  Local sheriff patrolled the lot at night. For the price, it was a great value for a quick stop to sleep before continuing on our way

Good value

The place is dated as are the two competing properties nearby.  Don't let that deter you if you're looking for a reasonably priced placed to spend a night which is also pet friendly.  The room was clean and comfortable, the AC worked and the shower was warm.  That's what I was looking for and what I got.  Also I'm on Wyndam Rewards and this must be their entry level property.  The continental breakfast (and eating area) was meager but adequate.  The staff was friendly.  We stayed at this property as a half way point to a trip to NC.  The first night there were not a lot of guests but you could still here noise from the motel right next to this one.  Not a big deal, but just something to be aware of.  On our return there were a few more guests.  If you're traveling with a dog (as we were), you might want to ask the clerk to make sure you're not put in a room next door to another guest with a dog to avoid them sensing each other and making noise.  This was not a big issue but the other dog would bark at something and our dog would bark at it.  They also left their dog outside their room very early in the morning (when we were trying to get some extra sleep) and dog barked incessantly.  That is my only real complaint about the place and it wasn't the fault of Travelodge.  So if you're looking for an overnight stay that is clean, reasonable and dog friendly, this is a good place to consider

The night check in guy was really nice the day front desk guy was kinda rude and Mexican music blasting till late Friday night but honestly for the price hotel was fine it was clean and safe.

Not a bad for the price

The Travelodge is family run.  It was dated but pretty clean.  Breakfast is not supplied but the hotel is not far from a restaurant.  The appliances worked but the heater got too warm.  Seventy degrees felt warmer so we kept adjusting the heat between 69-70 manually throughout our stay.
