i love staying this hotel the people that work morning & mid shift are amazing... well i was staying over this passed weekend checking out on 10-09-22 with the wife, well everything was like normal till we walked in the door around mid night,  my self and my wife was choking of the smell of very bad body odor and what seemed  like a dog kennel.  never have i ever smelled this before, skip to when we wake up, my wife goes to eat breakfast and she pours waffle mix into the cup & it is  dog hair in the mix, she took it to that lady let her know, she told us she was sorry & said she would pour it out.. also let her know we wasnt trying to be rude but the heavy set lady that was working graveyards had a very bad odor coming from her that we could smell in lobby when you walk in, she even had dog hair all on her. i have 2 dog & 3 cats and i never have their hair on me.  I  let morning lady  know that is very unprofessional to allow someone to come to work like she did. she said she will let the manager know. Other than that it was great

NASTY GRAVEYARD LADY, NICE BUT NASTY

The front desk clerks Lisa and Latisha are the best. They are so friendly and really down to earth. They treated us like family which made our stay so much better. The place may be a little outdated  but the staff makes up for it. I will definitely be staying here again.

Pleasant Experience!!!

This hotel has some issues in that it has some physical facility problems.  It appears to be old, etc.  All of that is made up for, however, by the quality of the staff.  Extremely friendly.  Extremely accommodating.   I went there for a hurricane evacuation and the staff made that experience about as pleasant as it could possibly be.  

Customer Service

We've stayed here twice after having to evacuate when our home flooded and the staff were so accommodating and we had 5 cats with us!  The interior needs a major update but it is clean.  Because of the cats in our room, we wanted to clean it ourselves and they provided the vacuum and whatever we needed.

Super nice staff!

Our stay was very comfortable as it could be with the length of time that we have had to stay here. Everyone was very nice and welcoming and the service was great from the front desk to the house keepers...

My stay

Improvements since my stay a year ago. Carpets no longer feel damp.  No longer smell cig smoke in the room I stayed in. 
Like last year,  clean,  great a/c, decent bed, pleasant and courteous staff.  Hopefully an outdoor smoking location can be somewhere besides front near the front entrance in the future. 

Improvements

Older hotel with basic amenities, clean and reasonably priced. The elevator kind of makes a banging sound when it stops, so be ready for it, lol. The closest store is a Brookshire Brother's about three-miles away and fast-food is non-existent, but the rooms have mini-fridges and microwaves. There's an Alon gas station next door and they have tacos and fried chicken that are both delicious. They play hair band rock throughout the day. I love that place :)  

Old School Property

This hotel had friendly staff, comfortable beds, and hot breakfast items (waffles). It is no frills and does need updating. There were no outlets near the bed or desk for charging phones/devices, no iron/ironing board, and no conditioner in the bathroom. The price was unbeatable and that’s why we chose it. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Comfortable & affordable

the property was conveniently looked for the family event we were attending. The registration staff was cordial, friendly and professional. The night clerk staff was able to give us information on how to start are TV. We were experiencing difficulty with finding the correct HMDI setting. The room was clean, and the closet had an de odorize sanitation bag and it provided a pleasant odor. The drain in the bathtub drained slowly and left soap residue film. The mattress was saggy on one side. The pillows were comfortable. The room and floors were clean. The quick breakfast was adequate.

Weekend Stay

The staff was very courteous in offering a better room after there were water issues the first night in the first room. 2nd room was cleaner. Place needs some repairs and some deep cleaning but it was clean enough that i stayed healthy.
