Very nice clean room. Staff very pleasant. Yes temp controlled by office but it was no problem getting it adjusted. Stairs not too bad even for me with arthritis in my knees. Good exercise. In walking distance from everything Rockport offers

Great stay

Excellent location- right in downtown Rockport, but on a quiet side street. The rooms are clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced.  We had small table & chairs both inside and outside the room that gave us some flexibility with the space.  

Great location!

Welcoming, reasonably priced, tastefully decorated rooms. Loved the location, steps away from the main street(s) of Rockport. Only stayed one night, but would like to return and stay longer. Convenient microwave and fridge; church bells were lovely. Stayed in (16), nice deck ( shared). Might suggest a coffee service, I stayed during the shoulder season, so that might be why. Very helpful upon check in with knowledge of town galleries, restaurants, and directions. Appreciated the fact that there is a place affordable to stay so close to town. Clean, Comfortable. Classy.

Friendly, Comfortable, and Reasonable

After talking to the owner via phone, four of us booked  2 rooms recently for 3 nights and were  pleasantly surprised.  Spot on with his description, this small, locally owned motel was clean, neat, and friendly.  On  a one way side street, it was quiet, smoke free and had a microwave and small fridge in both rooms.  Booked to stay again for next fishing trip, in 1 month.  

Eagle House Impressions

Perfect, affordable accommodations. Comfy, clean and convenient, with in-room microwave and mini fridge. Great location for strolling the shops close by. Check in and check out were super easy. No complaints. I look forward to making a return trip here next year.

Perfection in Rockport

We've stayed at the Eagle House Motel several times and we're always happy to return. Our room was clean and cheerful. You can't ask for a better location in Rockport--the motel is on a quiet street a quick walk to the town's shops and galleries, as well as beaches. One of the amenities is a shaded patio and coffee station, where you can relax. The staff are quite pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area.

A nice place. It is an older motel type but has the feel of an inn. Rooms are updated and comfortable and have a mini fridge, table, chairs etc. bathrooms are tiny but functional. Very short walks to beach, downtown and bearskin neck. There is a nice little outdoor kitchen and patio area where you can go to make your own coffee, eat a carry out meal or enjoy an evening drink. Gary, the owner and chief of everything was very nice and personable. We appreciated him helping us with train schedule and directions to Fenway. This is a great value for Rockport in a great location. The only real drawback Is that the coffee offered was Chock Full O Nuts which is swill. But we bought our own at brothers coffee, about one minute away, which was VERY good. They also have great homemade donuts. We loved the Eagle House. 

Just righr

The room was clean and roomy enough, however, the bath was very small.  It would be hard to expand since it is an older dwelling.  The issue we had was the air conditioner - we did not have control - we had to call the owner to have him turn it on remotely. It did come on but was not cool enough. We did not want to disturb him in the middle of the night, so we just managed.  I wanted to speak to him about the noise the louver made, but the office was still locked when we checked out the next morning.  Best to stay on the top floor if you can manage stairs. You do hear every footfall above you.

Good Location

We had a room on the top floor. Clean room with modern furnishings. Our room had the king sized bed with foam top (room 15) and a full bath. Owner is nice as is the location. We were there first week of May.

Bring ear plugs though. The church next door will ring it's bell on the hour, every hour. Even through the night. Something to consider if you want to be well rested for a long dive home.

Clean, Great Location, Loud Neighbor

We were looking for a clean, affordable place in the town of Rockport to spend one night.  We found it at the Eagle House Hotel. We were in Room 3, near the office. When we arrived (early evening), the office was closed, but instructions were left for us taped on the door. The room was an adequate size for us. More importantly, it was spotless!! The bathroom was on the small size, with a very TINY shower. But again, it was very clean! We easily walked from the motel to the main st , the beach, and Bear's Neck. Most shops were closed the Sunday evening we were there, as well as Monday morning. Others have commented on the church bell ringing every hour. I must admit, it did interfere with our sleep. I was awakened at 2am, 3am, and 5am. That bell would be the only reason I might reconsider staying here again. Unfortunately, the owner of the motel can do nothing about it. On our way out of town, we stopped at Pebble Beach, which was lovely----few people and very serene.
