Loved being able to watch the sunset out the front door and the sunrise out the back door. Special place. Older historic Florida home but everything worked well and was comfortable. Great value. We were able to walk to caddy's or happy hour and lu's for ice cream! 

Relaxing family trip

I chose SunFun1925 for a long weekend with my 3 adult daughters, a special girls weekend.  I was looking for a quiet, relaxing, low-key “old Florida” beach cottage, not a fancy, crowded corporate resort for this special family time.  Sun N Fun was just perfect!  It had everything we wanted and needed!  
We stayed in Unit 6, the largest unit.  We loved the nostalgic feel and vintage style of the cottage!  My youngest daughter, who loves old houses, was immediately delighted by the heavy old doors, glass door handles, leaded glass windows, milk glass sconces and rattan furniture! The unit was very clean and well kept with classic beach decor.  The furniture was clean, sturdy and very comfortable.   The beds were also very comfortable and we all slept well.  The kitchen had top of the line appliances and was equipped with everything we could want or need.  The large SMART TV and wifi were great!
Then we stepped outside!  The back courtyard has several patio tables with umbrellas, beach loungers, rocking chairs, a beautiful lit cabana and even a fire pit.  The beach was incredible with soft white sand, sea oats, sea grapes and the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.  Beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys were all provided.   We particularly enjoyed kayaking amongst the sea birds on the calm gulf waters.  The emerald water is so clear, almost like pool water and the waves were very calm, unlike the punishing waves of the atlantic that can sometimes beat you up when venturing out.    The gorgeous white beach was clean and uncrowded.  We basically had the beach all to ourselves.  And, those sunsets were breathtaking!
The location, directly between the bay and the gulf, was very convenient to restaurants.  We walked to dinner each night.  There is also a trolley that runs about every 30 minutes from early morning to late evening the length of the island and the stop is just outside the house.
And finally, Wes, the owner, was especially responsive and helpful.  He answered all my questions promptly and provided history and other interesting information about the area.  He even called to make sure we had arrived safely after our flight.  His love and care for this home, which was originally his grandparents where he spent summers as a kid, was apparent.  We are so thankful we were able to experience this special little slice of paradise.  We will definitely be back!


Unforgettable “Old Florida” experience

This place is my private little slice of heaven, and I was fortunate enough to have the beach to myself most of my stay. I don’t go here for the amenities, (there are none), I go to restore my soul and recharge my batteries. I have a safe place to sleep, and a wonderful view of the Gulf from my bed in a quiet area. I can choose to cook in or go out with plenty of options nearby. I’m always torn between leaving a great review or keeping this gem to myself. 

Great reviews though are what this place needs to insure its success though. Hoping to visit this place for many years to come. 

Restore and Recharge at this Hidden Gem

Sun n Fun is a nice, cozy place with decent pricing! There are 6 units. We stayed in unit 2 which has two bedrooms so it accommodated our family great. The unit even worked well with our ten month old baby. All of the kitchen appliances needed were available, as well. The beach is a short walk from the rooms and was never busy with beautiful sunsets. There are plenty of beach items available for guest use including beach chairs, umbrellas, kids toys, and even kayaks, which was awesome to not have to worry about bringing with. We had the pleasure of meeting and talking with the owner who seemed like a very down to earth, good guy! Our family will definitely be returning to Sun n Fun for future Florida vacations! 

Cozy and affordable!

We try to always stay at Sun and Fun. It’s an older accommodation and a bit pricey, but it just feels like home. Right on the beach, canopy, chairs, umbrellas, bbq grill, towels, and more. Recommend for anyone.

This is our 7th time visiting Sun n Fun.  We love it and we consider it our home away from home.  It's not the Ritz, so if you are looking for something fancy with amenities this is not for you.  But if you are looking for cozy, warm and friendly then Sun n Fun is for you.  The service has always been great and if we ever need something to be addressed it's been handled promptly and professionally.  

The location, I don't know how you can ask for a better one.  Located right on the beach, white powdery sand and never crowded.  Great location surrounded by lots of local restaurants and businesses.

Not our home / our home

What can I say, the views were amazing from the sitting home/kitchen/dinner area and bedroom.  Ok, now let me admit there was a big bug (common to this area) but if I was that bug i'd also wanted to chill here as well!!  LOL!!  Some may see a need for some minor repairs, but i wouldn't change a single thing.  One side of the house there a is a grand view of the beach and the side window has a view of the lake/pond/lagoon not really sure what it is, but every becoming!  Oh yeah, and the location, being surrounded by water was amazing...i can go on and on!!

I am completely in love with this place and location!  I will be back and next time i'll try the bottom apartment!!

Little rustic piece of paradise

Sun n Fun Beachfront is amazing! The people that run it are phenomenal! Thank you Bruce and Carlos. You Rock! Also, thankful for housekeeping who do a wonderful job setting up a pristine environment for you before you arrive. I love the clean fresh scent of the suites, non chemical thankfully. I consider this my home away from home and once you stay here I am confident you will as well. So much better then even the highest end hotels. Bed is crazy comfortable, love the high quality bedding and super comfy mattress. Best part is lying in bed listening to the ocean waves. Plus you have the best of both worlds: Ability to watch dolphins swim in the bay during a beautiful sunrise as well as a front row view of the glorious sunset here in Indian Shores. You will love the expansive backyard with lots of high quality seating as well as relaxing in the cozy veranda just steps from your private beach which is never crowded. No need to bring anything here but yourself since everything you could possibly need is provided complimentary here including beach umbrellas & chairs, inner tubes, sand toys even life jackets and kayaks. Book now and you will never want to leave. Best place I could have ever chosen to social distance during this pandemic. Praying that everyone stays happy and healthy today and always. Spectacular views in every direction!

Wonderful spot. The beach is fantastic and the accommodations are simple, clean and just what we needed. Super super easy check in and out. Was really appreciated since we arrived really late at 1:00 am and had to check out at 3:30 am. for our flights. Great restaurants not far. 2 thumbs up.
