We had breakfast at the restaurant. Clean, friendly, excellent service. Food was excellent, made to order served hot. Excellent coffee. Easy accessibility from I-20. Quiet and well maintained. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and checked with us regularly. Definitely recommend.

Excellent food and service!

We've stayed here many times and never been  disappointed. The rooms are really big. Its ALWAYS been clean. Margaret cleaned our room and came by to make sure that it was ok. Shook hubby's hand and said to ask her if we needed anything. We started to stay across from here but they were not accommodating...thank God. We had forgotten how special this is here

Huge rooms

No it is not fancy but it was clean, quiet and as a female traveling alone I felt safe. I was treated with respect, a smile and a very friendly attitude.  I don’t get to Sweetwater as often as I like but I will always make this my first choice when I do.

Great Stay

We stayed here for one night on our way to Durango and one night heading back.
  No Reservation so walked in and was pleasantly greeted and got a ground floor room both stays.  Rooms really need to be updated and carpets cleaned.  Nice breakfast included in the morning with hot coffee.   Nice attendants in the breakfast room.  Great service.   This seems to be a hotel with a lot of workers staying.  No problems with the room.  Clean  but some of the lights did not work.   Tub was very strange as is was not solid but squishy when standing.

2 nights  on our way to Durango and back

After a long drive from Albuquerque we stopped at the Ranch House. Easy to get to off the interstate.
It has a full restaurant with breakfast included (good table service).
We had a double queen room which was huge, and easy accommodated the load of luggage we had. 
The rooms are older and could do with new mattresses. 
Loads of parking - with space for trailers. Also has a stable if you have a horse or two in tow.

Welcoming and spacious

This was our first stop on an 11-day road trip. We arrived and were checked in quickly without problems. Our rooms were a bit dated, but did have the convenience of a microwave and mini-refrigerator. If they had an ice-machine, I was unable to locate it...the one I saw by the pool was not in working condition. A complimentary breakfast came with our room, and it was good, but the selections were a bit limited, especially for our gluten-free traveling partner. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a reasonable price.

Adequate motel for a one-night stay

When on a road trip, I don't want to waste money on superior accommodations.  $40-$80 per night is my target, and I accept that not everything will be perfect.  Clean, safe, and nice people are most important.  Here- plenty worn, but clean.  Many non critical items needed repair.  Staff nice.  Room comfortable for sleeping. Park at the front door.  A little challenging to find.  Hot breakfast included at the cafe- good food, but much slower than grabbing a bite at a buffet and running.  Overall 4 out of 10 compared with others in the price range.

A place to spend the night on a road trip.

Friendly desk staff. Room was fine, no issues. Free breakfast in the restaurant, which we were excited about, but for some reason my 8 year old didn't get a free breakfast. Something about because she stayed free? It didn't totally make sense to me. My biscuits weren't cooked all the way through, and the coffee was pretty bad. Plus they overcharged me for my daughter's meal in the end. For the price of the hotel and the breakfast I actually would've rather stayed at a Days Inn or something with a continental breakfast, because I know the quality of the room and the breakfast would have been much better. 

Ok, not great

Very nasty staff from owner to cook.  No one was wearing masks and even though they offered free breakfast you had to sit in a restaurant with server and guests not practicing ANY Covid precautions; not wearing masking and no distancing.

When I asked to have breakfast to go because of health issues I was told no and actually told "I should have stayed home" if I couldn't eat in an indoor restaurant with Covid opportunities abounding.

NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!!  And if you value your health you'll stay away too.
