Stayed in Unit 118. Cutest studio! The decor is perfect for the beach and so comfy. Located just far enough from the beach that it's quiet but close enough to walk to. Your still on the water with the bay out back.I definitely highly recommend!

Comfy, cute studio!

I stayed in Unit 105.  It was recently updated with all new furniture and supplies.  The management went the extra mile.  The location is perfect.  You can walk everywhere!  A wagon and beach chairs were provided.  The unit was super clean.  This is a must stay at property!

We had a fantastic time here, the manager was very accomadating and really helped us out.  The accommodation was super clean and had everything we needed. Not on the beach but a few minutes walk and you were there. Loads of places to eat around the area. Food was very good in Ricky Ts and Caddys we will be back next year hopefully for a bit longer. 



Fantastic stay and excellent Staff.

Perfect Location...excellent little gem of a Motel. Has all the bells and Whistles for such a small place. A real gem. Heated pool...great pool area... barbecue facilities...dock area for boats. A jetty lite up at night. Looks clean and neat all the time. Gardens well maintained. Staff always busy in the area. Our stay was awesome. Very relaxing and the people who were all booked in were from all over the globe. Friendly and one felt part of the hotel. Definitely a place we will return to. 
Our room was on Airbnb. Had all the necessary items needed. Great decor. Simple but with taste. I always say less is best and this was the case. Everything was available via messages and very attentive. Great host. Room was cosy ...not small. Perfect for a couple. Absolutely loved our stay. We tried to extend but was unable ... the Motel is a favourite to many people who actually return yearly. Definitely keeping this little gem on our "To Return List".

Great Location and a Hidden Gem

We stayed 2 nights at the Malyn in room 122 and were blown away with how awesome it was. It was built in 1961, but our room was completely remodeled within the past couple of months and a quality job had been done, not like some hack job you see in many motel rooms or condos. All of the rooms aren't updated, and I didn't see any of the others, but the entire property is kept up very well and the buildings are in excellent condition. The property takes you back to the 1960's when Florida was a simpler time and place. 

Beautiful views of the bay from the fishing docks, which also have a couple of boat slips. The pool, while we did not use it, appeared to be very well kept. Parking was easy and close by. We came across a few other folks staying and everyone was very friendly. The atmosphere is very low key. 

The manager, Tanya, is extremely nice and easy to do business with. I would definitely (and likely will) stay here again in the future and will likely bring my kids next time. Conveniently located to the beach, which is less than half a mile away and an easy walk. My wife and I ran along the beach one morning. Great experience overall!

Absolutely Excellent Old Florida Charm

My wife and I stayed for 5 days in mid May, 2019.  Tonya, the manager, was extremely friendly and helpful whenever we communicated with her.  She is at the property every day from early morning till 4pm.  
The room (117) was next to the office.  There is assigned parking corresponding to room number.  Room was clean and spacious with kitchenette and needed kitchen items.  Large closet.  Smaller bathroom but clean.  This is an older property for the area but it is beautifully landscaped with a nice pool, grill, docks and covered table area.
There is construction going on next door but it was not an issue for us.  The motel is walking distance to Publix, restaurant's, beach and Super Scoops ice cream.  If you want 1st class accommodations this probably is not for you.  If you like old Florida and relaxing atmosphere and a very low cost for the area you will be happy.

Great property, value and service.

My husband and I checked into The Malyn Resort and WE NEVER WANT TO CHECK OUT:) Our room was super clean, bed super comfy, beautiful floors, best shower on The Beach, and coldest Air Around!! We are so impressed with the room, the condition of the property and the friendliness of the staff! Tanya and her girls are awesome, they helped us with anything that we asked of them! We have stayed at many hotels and resorts on T.I. and will always from now on...come back to the Malyn! Pool was spotless, nice big grills for guests, and even a private Cabana to entertain in! I Give The Malyn 5☆ Thanks Tom & Jess H

Awesome Room and Awesome Staff!!!

Lots of nice people,nice area and close to everything.
Very helpful staff, and the pool was saving you from overheating in the sun...
Take the trolley to Johns pass,and  Clearwater beach , go and see Winter in the aquaria..

This old Florida condo-hotel is within relatively short walking distance to restaurants, stores and the beach. The 1-bedroom unit was clean and well stocked with household items, etc. The staff was responsive to any need such as a parking problem. Great TV, too. Only downside is that guests smoked while sitting in chairs on the narrow paths outside their units. It would be great if a smoking area could be created beyond the buildings.

Cozy and quaint

Let me get right to "What was wrong".  Ceiling Fan in Bedroom was ready to fly off (Screws missing), Black Mold in Bedroom Window, Black Mold around shower enclosure, Bathtub doesn't hold water, baked on food in coffee cups, Dirt- Mold & Bug in Silverware Drawer, coffee maker screws fell out as coffee was brewing. Overall very dirty room. Free WIFI - doesn't work. I took pictures to back up my story. Picture advertised do NOT match what we was advertised.
