We enjoyed our stay very much at the Middlebury Sweets. The room was clean, the wifi connection was strong, and there is a candy store on site. This is a "mom and pop" motel, so you can park right outside your room. We recommend this motel if you are visiting the Middlebury area.

Nice Place to Stay in Middlebury

Super clean!!  We arrived after midnight and check in was a breeze thanks to the multiple emails we received ahead which included the door lock code to our room.  The room itself was modest and very clean with new white linens and comfortable beds.  The bathroom is small but meets our needs just fine and also is super clean.  Free, fast WiFi, two mirrors, a desk and luggage racks were nice additional amenities.  Can’t say enough how clean everything was!  We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Clean, comfy and quaint!

For a friend's wedding, we were in Middlebury, VT for a weekend and lucked upon Middlebury Sweets Motel - immaculate rooms thoughtfully decorated and appointed, best room desk chair ever(!), perfect shower, bathroom with adequate shelf space, comfy bed, and in the form of motel we prefer (drive up to the room). 

The online check-in process was so wonderful - no need to do a lobby thing, etc. Modern door codes.  The staff went out of their way to make sure all our needs were met.  The breakfast items were fresh and the trays to take things back to our room were much appreciated. 

Would stay there without question when in that area again.

A truly sweet place to stay

Blanca and staff were very easy to work with and quick to respond to questions.  It's a motel type accommodation.  Building on older side but rooms were clean and efficient.  Great part of motel type of rooms is that you can park your car right up against your door and easily unload or load your car.  There is closet size room for their "breakfast."  Basically it's big enough for a refrigerator and you go inside and pick up individually wrapped breakfast food and bring back to your room to eat.  I give them bonus points for trying to do a little extra for their guests.  It's not the fanciest of places to stay but price was great and convenient.  When you leave property and make right turn, it's 2 miles to center of Middlebury.  If you make left turn, it's about 10 miles to Middlebury Snowbowl for skiing.

For the price, great place to stay

We stayed at the motel for 6 days and it was awesome.  Clean rooms, friendly and courteous staff, breakfast across the road at a family owned deli with plenty of other dining places nearby.  Then for a treat the candy store is right there just a few doors door from your room.  All in all I would recommend this place 100%.

Sweet stay

My dog and I stayed here for a night and I can’t say enough good things about it. Incredibly friendly people, clean well appointed rooms, everything you need.
The only downside is their homemade candy store!! I was on a diet and walked out with fifty dollars of exceptional, homemade chocolates 😀
Simply amazing 

Wonderful Surprise!

The rooms are very clean and well appointed (including conditioner!) and the candy theme is cute. there are plenty of picnic tables and adirondack chairs for guests to use. There is some road noise and the location is out of the town center. But we were impressed with what we got for the price compared to properties in town. They have you check-in by email, with your preferences for amenities like hair dryers and selection of breakfast choices. They send you a code for the keypad on your door so you don"t have to go to the office when you arrive. All this improves efficiency and we appreciated the effort but they didn't get it all our selections completely right. Also, the breakfast basket could be improved upon with fresh pastries rather than packaged.

Loved our stay in this funky candy-themed motel

I stayed here overnight and was very satisfied. The rooms are small but super clean and comfortable. No road noise, curtains keep the room comfortably dark, bed comfy, a/c heat unit is super quiet. These are the things important to me so I’m giving 5 stars. It was the cheapest hotel I found in the area. Would stay again.

Great stay.they text u what room you will be in and access code and that is very convenient and a.c. was nice and cool and definitely will be coming back.enjoyed the candy and candy lamps and even has a huge candy store in lobby.

Family 

Overnight while visiting Middlebury College.  Arrived 11:30 pm.  Innkeeper had texted me a cheery message with room# and access code.  Arrived to breakfast basket and refrigerated items already there.  And so amused by the Sour Patch Kids theme in the decor and in the candy bowls!!  🤣🤣🤣🤣  Made up for the exhaustion and 5 hour drive.   Room was immaculate.  Would absolutely stay here again if my child ends up at Middlebury!
