Our family stayed here while we were traveling.  The location is convenient, right off the interstate, the rooms were clean, and the bed was very comfortable.  I understand they have new owners and are making renovations.  We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Clean comfortable rooms with a great price

Looks like they recently have changed hotel names and become Econolodge. The management is working on renovating the rooms and updating them. 

My room was clean and everything was working. I loved the bed, the softness was just right. Bedding sheets were clean, bathroom was tiny but clean. Staff was courteous and also made us a to go packet for breakfast because we were leaving earlier than the breakfast time. 

Price was decent and rooms were clean.  That's what we asked for.

Recent Econolodge, good price for clean room

I stayed at the Econo Lodge for business while in town and had an excellent experience. I was nervous because of the previous pictures, but the room was updated and Clean. New flooring and beds were very comfortable. I would recommend especially if you are on a budget!

Updated and Clean

Room was nice and quiet, normally I have go in ready to clean but did not have to do anything but relax.  King non-smoking room (did not smell of cigarettes), bed was very comfortable.  Good location, shopping and restaurants nearby.  Great customer service at front desk.

Clean and Comfortable

I'm rating this higher. Given the price the room was decent, not perfect. No blackout curtains. No coffee maker, but then they don't advertise one. The upgrades in the room I got deserve a higher rating than the "previous owner."

Deserve a better score

Room was old ,but seemed clean.found things in 1 of the drawers from other guests.  2 remotes to work tv ,but tv worked , so did ac.  Bed was so soft that we meet in the middle.neather of us got any sleep.all in all an ok stay

Ok for the price

Reluctantly stayed one night as we were passing thru Virginia with no reservations on a summer Saturday. Great price but you get what you pay for. No lighting on sign made it hard to find. Pool not operational. Repairs going on in stairwells early in the morning. Carpets need a deep clean/replacement & crevices need to be cleaned all along the walls. Towels are thin & crusty. Breakfast is nothing more than individually wrapped pastries & mediocre coffee with powdered creamer. Water pressure was good so we showered & left for Virginia Beach. Needs a complete makeover!!!

Last resort

I booked a room for 1 night with my hubby and we literally walked in the room checked out and left. There were cigarettes under the matress, stains in the sheets , cigarette burns on the so called clean sheets. Spider webs everywhere so obviously it doesn't get cleaned or dusted between guests they just put on the cleanest sheets they could find that's how I felt it was disgusting! Stay was rude. We got to speak to the manager after she finally came down and her question was who was in the room last smh does that matter! It's suppose to be clean for new guests. Never again

Never again! 

I travel quite a bit, and this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Had the room not been paid for by an event promoter I would have left and found a different place.
The check-in area was in desperate need of some repairs. Some conduit running along the wall behind the counter was just hanging loose. There was a buildup of mold and old orange juice in the catch tray on the juice dispenser in the lobby. 
When I got to the room things only got worse. It smelled musty and there was a lingering odor of cigarette smoke. The floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in months. The rod to hang clothes on was broken and left on the shelf in the closet area. The TV was a small flat screen that was dirty. There was a white substance sprayed across the entire width of the screen. 
The sheets looked like they had been washed but had stains and holes.The room also must have been recently sprayed for bugs because there were dead bugs along the baseboards and behind the beds. On a positive note after stripping and inspecting the beds and headboards, they appeared to be free of anything living.
The bathroom hadn't been cleaned, the toilet wasn't even wiped down! Clean towels were left at the end of the bed. Not even put in the bathroom! There was no shampoo or conditioner, just two bottles of lotion. I guess this place caters more to hourly guests.
I could go on and on. If you have a choice, don't book here! Go to one of the other hotels that are close by.

Don't even think about staying here!

I stayed at this motel for a weekend. Next time I'll stay elsewhere. The first room I was given, the door lock didn't work so I had to be switched. The room I was switched to was smoking, which I refused to stay in. The third room I kept because the other place next door was full, or I would have given up and tried over there. I then went to the nearby Walmart to buy my own towel because the one provided was dirty. I also bought a pillowcase because that dirty, and a sleeping bag, because I just wasn't trusting the bedding at that point. 
The room also had not been properly vacuumed before I entered. I found an empty capsule from a pill on the floor.
