The location is very convenient, close to eateries and gas stations.  The guest room is very clean with amenities like a refrigerator and microwave.  The area is very quite and conducive to rest and relaxation.  It has been a very pleasant experience.

Granby Motel Review

In this day and age when everything in the USA is so uniform and boring, and every city across America has almost the same retail landscape, it was a joy to encounter this gem of a place. Yes, it is old and quirky, but who cares? Get over yourselves! 
  The owners work very hard to keep the place tidy and they are exceptionally accommodating. The son even drove us places when we could not get an Uber.  I give them so much credit for keeping a small business, and a bit of the American dream alive.  Thank you for a lovely stay. We'll be back!

Family owned and operated, great service

We slept well and felt refreshed in the am. 
Shower was great and I loved it when we were given and extra towel  for our grandson, without having to ask.
Our smoking free room was truly a smoking free room-
Room air was also - clean and fresh.

Our room was clean and neat.  Just what we wanted!

I was pleasantly surprised. The room did not have the musty smell of so many older motels and it was very clean. AC worked well, though it too was old. A good basic room with WiFi, cable TV. Helpful staff too.

Good price, good room

The proprietors were very friendly and kind. I was a budget motel. The room was kept very clean. The furniture was old, and showed signs of wear but aranged nicely. Two queen beds and a sitting chair in one corner and a small table in the back of the rooma dresser against one wall and a hanging television.  We did not watch T.V., but the motel said they had HBO. The room had a small fridge, a microwave oven, and a coffee machine. (packet of coffee 2 sugars and 2 creams provided) the only cups we could find were clear plastic water cups not realy designed for hot beverages, but they were worked. We were happy to have our morning cup of coffee with out having to leave the room. The first night there were 3 of us, myself and my two daughters. I paid an extra $20 for the third ocupent.The second night we only had two people so there was not an extra charge. There was an air conditioner (simalar to a window unit built into the wall)  we were able control the room temperature.  I guess my biggest complained is that I had difficulty sleeping on matresses. It seemed too soft (perhaps worn) and the pillows as well. My daughters had the same problem. This may come down to personal taste, or what one is accustumed to at home? My sholders and back hurt the next day. We also could not get a consistant wifi signal. In this circumstance that was fine, but if I had work to be done it could present a true problem.I was tired it was a busy time taking my daughter to college for the first time. We felt safe, and the location was very convenient for us. I'd just say if you have a little trouble sleeping on certain beds this may not be the location for you.

A place to lay my head.

The room was clean, there were no unpleasant odors and quiet.Stayed here only because it was close to our meeting spot. Our room was very out dated, however I only needed a place to sleep and shower. Heat worked well , plenty of hot water.

Gone  Wheelin

OK for a quick one night stop. Visited on a Saturday night. Clean, but very dated. Owners very pleasant. Low cost, $76 for the night. Included free wifi, in room coffee pot, small refrigerator and microwave.

Clean and quiet budget motel

Traveling home after a long camping trip, with our 1year old, we stopped at the Granby Motel. We wanted to relax and shower up before making it all the way home. We didn't relax and the shower was pretty moldy. 
We paid less than your average big chain hotels. We specifically asked for a non smoking room because we have an infant. Everything was tidy, minus the moldy bathroom. Thirty minutes after checking in the owner confronted us if we were smoking in the room. Then proceeded into the next room over and stayed there for awhile. Freaked out that the owner is now listening to us we turned on the television. Then like someone had a universal remote the tv was muted without any prompting. As if she was listening to us in the empty room next door. When we looked outside, the owners entire family is out talking pictures by our car. 
Even more paranoid that were being watched and or listened too. But we needed to leave and get some ice and milk and our dinner. When we returned it felt like they had entered our room while we were gone. Then the owners daughter kept entering and leaving the empty room next to us again.
We just want to relax and eat our dinner. 
As the night went on we realized the residents of motel were just as bad as the owners. One guy kept checking out our roof bag, so I had to then to continuously make sure he wasn't going for our camping gear. And there was a super gross lady there 2 doors down who had vomit spit all over her front stoop and her driverside car door. 

If you want to be watched and listened too then the Granby Motel is your place to be. I wouldn't recommend any family with small children to stay here!
