Friendly staff & fellow campers, clean & updated buildings and grounds! Pet friendly, weekend events & more! Rental cabin site was spacious, cabin had everything we needed! Sunday breakfast presented by seasonal campers was so appreciated!!! Thank you to all & see you next year!

Reunion

We originally went up to White Pines for a day trip for a pet weekend. We ended up camping there twice last year and enjoyed every moment. The owners are amazing and staff goes out of their way to make sure you're having a great time. We went back this year and it's even better than last year. The new owners are listening to people and are bring the place back to life. The roads have been redone so its great to get around with the jogger while walking the dog.

Wonderful family and dog friendly camp ground.

 A very nice, well maintained campground. We had an electrical power issue which maintenance addressed immediately and corrected with no further issues. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. All of the buildings are clean as is the pool area. They have many scheduled and supervised activities for the guests. Keep up the good work! Clean and well organized.

There was plenty to do for adults and kids. We had a problem with reaching the electrical connections and Steve went out of his way to get us a temp fix until we were able to get a 50 amp extension cord. They’re very helpful and responsive to any problems that might come up. I will definitely be going back.

Had a fun time and the entertainment was great.

Stayed 2 nights in this campground. After reading some of the reviews we were leery about staying here. But let me tell you - it was just fine!  The people checking us in were very friendly & helpful. Our site, though not completely level was certainly adequate. Even though there are many full timers, we didn’t see any bad or run down campers. Some of the roads did have a few bumps, but I’ve been on worse on our interstates. All in all it was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely return here again.

Nice Surprise after Reading Bad Reviews

My family and I stayed during the Fourth of July week for 3 days. We didn’t rent an RV and rented the lot and brought our own tents. The experience of the place was great in the sense that they had things to do for the whole family. They had a bouncy house, a swimming pool, and even had a movie nights for the kids. The issue arose  when i felt that me and my group were constantly being scolded. Everything we did was an issue. We felt targeted for being a different race. I don’t plan on ever going back. I didn’t feel welcomed at all and didn’t enjoy my stay.

Had a girls weekend with my 4 year old little girl. We stayed in the 5th wheel, since I have never done this before. We rented the 5th wheel since there was a shower but this was an issue but will get back to this. I like to do Pros first 

Pros: The staff was really exceptional, the facility, campsites, and pool / pool area was clean and clear, great snack shack, very nice and happy co-campers, the lights set up at night at all the camp sites simply AWESOME, hayride was really fun (as a suggestion..would be outrageously cool to do hayride at night when the campers lights are on), fun activities for kids, it is close to the last remaining Drive in theater who shows up to date films, big lots and feeling like the woods, great local activities such as hiking, state forest, kayaking, tubing at Satan kingdom, go carts and mini golf close and great restaurant (Chatterley's in New Hartford)  Also...actually saw a bear walking down the road of the camp site!  We loved all of these things. Can't say enough about all the pros at White Pines. 

Cons; Really only major issue was about the 5th wheel we rented. Smelled funny the whole time we were there (no matter how many windows open or how much I cleaned... I cleaned everything ALOT), the fridge never actually became cold and leaked water the whole time, the bed was a 3 inch pad on the crawl space bedroom (my back will never be the same) and the shower (the reason I got this particular place) did not work AT ALL (I could not get the water to come out of the shower head). Good things are a big deck, great fire pit and nice location area.

With that said...I would come back to this location but would rent one of the cabin (they looked so cute from  outside)  instead of the 5th wheel. We had so much fun and my daughter still asks me when we are going back to her home in the woods. Thank you White Pines for making my first "girls weekend" with my little girl.

Weekend getaway with 4 year old

To start w positive the staff was all wonderful. 
Ok. 
This place is a dump. There is crap everywhere. Old beat up campers and broken down vehicles. Our pull through site was a u shape. With a 30 ft camper that is NOT a pull through. From our site (94) I believe. Our view was of 2 empty sites loaded with stuff left behind from seasonal campers who apparently left as no campers were on sites. There is only internet in the cafe attached to office which closed at 4 pm so me getting emails from work was impossible. The dump station is right in front of the pool which has to smell in summer. And very narrow to negotiate. For the $45 a night off season and weeknight. I could have driven another ten miles and been happy. Will NEVER return.

Never again

After a long days travel we pulled into Whitepines Campsites in Winsted Ct.  A very large campground pretty much filled, so much in fact we were put into the "Field".  It appeared to be very family friendly with lots of noise and children's activities .  As a retired couple travelling on, all we really required was a good nights sleep in a nice campground.   Only once in our travels over the years have we paid more than the $59.00 charge at this campground.  In my mind, too much for only average services.  No on site wifi.  Clean, but small and outdated washrooms.  Poor sewer services in the "Field".  The only plus was cable TV.  I personally would not return.

Overpriced One-Nighter

We checked in yesterday excited to start our holiday weekend with a family camping trip. It is day 2 and has been the worst experience of my life so far. Not only were we put in campsites that didn’t fit our camper, but I asked to be in a quiet area because we have young children- and we were put next to a group of 50 tent campers that have been non stop blaring music. Don’t get me wrong, wr play music but these ppl had subwoofer speakers they brought in and had the grounds shakinng around them all day/ night. Other campers have also complained several times and the problem Still persisted. The first time I came into the office to make a complaint Marilyn was very helpful saying she would take care of it and make sure they put the speakers away because that is against the campground rules to bring in speakers like that  The third time I came in I got screamed at by Marilyn, telling me that I need to stop complaining and that We should go home. This is the worst I have ever been treated at any business and Was in complete shock. She screamed at me in front of other customers and said I need to deal with it because its the weekend.  I was in tears I was so embarrassed. The only reason we didn’t leave right then is because we were there with another family and the kids would have been dvestated the leave early. We will never be back to White Pines.
