A&Em is well known in HCMC for its cheap and good hotels in excellent location. This one which is located in Hai Ba Trung is strategically located in District One, very easily accessible to major tourist spots and shopping destinations. The rooms are small but clean and very cozy. The breakfast has is good considering that this is a budget hotel. I have no qualms staying at this hotel each time I am in HCMC.

Brilliant Location

This hotel was really small, so we feel airless. But the staff was friendly and helpful, We love that. Thr location was excellent, near to Opera house, shopping mall center. The room was comfortable. Thank you!

Small Hotel, Friendly staff

This is my 5th stay at this hotel now, i read the reviews and see the complaints, Noisy?? If you want a peaceful hotel go somewhere else, but if you want a central location in the busy district 1 , close to restaurants, bars and shopping this is the place for you, just walk out the door and there is so much to do! Staff are very helpful, rooms are due for a up date, but the price is excellent for the location, will be back soon!

Top location!

I stay here every time I come to HCMC. Hotel room is not big but clean and equip with all things I want. Breakfast is not bad More variety choice. I don’t like the lobby area because they allow people smoke. This timing is not good much because at night sound from the bar is very loud  they have drinker which is very noisy. 

Nearby hotel has a convenient store and good restaurant.  

If they can improve the noisy sound at night and not allow to smoke in the air con room will be perfect. 

Good and convenient to stay

We were here for just 1 night due to opening ceremony of H&M store in Vincom Center which  was about 400-500m away from the hotel. The hotel was small but we managed it for 1 night only. They provided enough amenities in room and also with bathtub. Breakfast was ok with basic choices. The thing i like most from this hotel was its location. It was really in the heart of the city and you can walk to see around. Not a best option but was ok.

Ok to stay for 1 night

I really liked this hotel, and the staff that worked here. It was well located in the CBD of Ho Chi Minh City, not far from great restaurants and interesting places, such as the War Remnants museum. It was also guest-friendly, which is a rarity in Vietnam it seems. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel in HCM

We stayed here for a night, the room was old and can see wear and tear shows in the room. Very confusing shower with so many buttons/ level. Breakfast was simple and basic but good taste. Checked in and out was good and staff was smiley and polite. Location was good with shops around and could walk to mayor attractions in Saigon. 
Would get better ratting as the hotel need to refurbish. Would recommend Sanouva Hotel to stay then here.

Simple & Straight Forward

Located near night spots, don't expect for the noise to quiet down before 11. The building and furnishing is not in its prime. Room layout has room for improvement, water can't be contained within the shower area. The toilet floor will be wet. Tiny bugs were observed to have taken up residency. 
Service was pleasant and the staff were earnest. 
Certainly, will not be my first choice of my choosing.

The staff were nice but this hotel is situated in a noisy part. The windows are not insulated enough to shut out the noise. First they put me in a room (201) near a restaurant which had heavy throbbing music till 11:30 pm. I was moved to a room (204) at the back. First night in the new room was okay. Tonight, there were construction guys hammering on pipes at a site behind the hotel at 11:30pm. The company I am working for booked me here. This actually was my second A&EM hotel. They moved me because the previous one was dirty and noisy. This second A&EM was a little better, although I saw a few small bugs crawling on the floor and the bathroom. I moved myself to nearby Asian Ruby Centerpoint. About US$20 more, but I get more space, a clean bathroom, a nice view. The windows seem pretty good at insulating the traffic.
