I have a chance to stay this one when business trip. It''s quiet good for everything, at least for me : clean, good facility,near center , staffs are friendly...once again,this is the place that can be included in the selection list for short trip...

suitable for couple or single !

I booked a smaller $16 room but there was no table or balcony so I upgraded to a $26 with both. Both rooms were very good and spotlessly clean.

The staff were great, even the cleaner stopped to talk each morning. They were all very helpful.

Some reviews sound a bit mean. For less experienced travellers, please remember, that even if staff do speak some English. You may need to explain what you want in a slower, calm, clear way. If you are patient you will see the best in people and also give them a chance to digest what you're saying. It's also worth knowing that SE Asians don't like confrontation, arguments or loudness, it's a sign of very bad manners and usually annoys them; even if they are too polite to react, they will feel insulted. You really will enjoy anywhere in Asia far more if you slow down and have a bit of decorum. 

I've spent several years in SE Asia and this is a really good, clean hotel in a great location. I will use it again.

Very good value for the location and standard

Highly recommend with wonderful staff and trustworthy people!!!  Near the park and market.
Will return on next visit.  Clean and helpful during my 1st trip.
Easy to find and close to main attractions .

Cheap price hotel in pham ngu lao ward and bui vien street .. in ho chi minh city centre near to Ben than market .. Park .. restaurants etc.. transport to airport.. travel agent withe the hotel .. visa extention etc....



Cheap hotel in city centre

We stayed at the hotel for the first 3 weeks of December. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the front #301 which was perfect for true length of stay. Room was well equipped with kettle, mini ridge and a large shower wet room.
The location is right in the middle of the nightlife. A couple of minutes walk to the main walking street and all that that entails. Although it is on a side street it is still noisy at night with music going until early morning. Also, there is a temple opposite that also starts with the bell ringing early in the morning. 
That being said, the staff were friendly and helped direct us around the city and did everything they could to make our stay a good one.
Perfect location, right in the middle of all the sights and action, but be aware you may need earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Great Location

This is a little gem of a hotel, well located just off Bui Vien Street, but without the high prices. Close to everything you need, staff speak good English, rooms are clean & nothing gets stolen. You can usually do a cash deal with them cheaper than any app. I'd certainly recommend this place to all. Cheers.

Great Value for $

I had read a few reviews before booking this and was a little apprehensive before I arrived but this place is ok. Just slightly off the main tourist area of Bui Vien in a relatively quiet street the room was large with a balcony overlooking the street below and a temple opposite. Yes the temple did wake you up at 5am when they banged a gong and chanted but all part of the Vietnamese experience and much nicer than the loud music blaring out from streets further away. There was some noise at night but all stopped around midnight. 
Room itself was large, clean and light with lots of storage space. Bathroom on the small side but shower was hot. Nice to sit on the balcony and watch the activity on the street below as always something going on.
Would definitely recommend paying a bit more for a room with a balcony as saw inside one of the other rooms that had no window and looked small and dark. We only paid £50 for 3 nights so good value. Staff helped to book a motorbike trip for us as well as cheap taxi to airport. 
Some good cheap restaurants in slightly smaller street next door.
Negative points - Breakfast was basic, choice of eggs cooked different ways with a baguette and you sat in a small room at the back of the ground floor that looked like it was used for storage at other times of the day. However cooked to order and quick. 
Overall happy with our choice for the price although as an area generally I preferred the less brash location around Ben Thanh where we stayed at the start of our trip.

Good value room with balcony overlooking temple

I booked using Agoda, and the condition was that I paid cash on arrival. I did this. About a week later, I received an email from Agoda saying that I was a no show, and my credit card would be charged again. I am not sure who it at fault, Agoda or the hotel. Spent a lot of time on contacting Agoda, the hotel and my bank to try an sort out. 

Tried to charged me twice

The people who work at this hotel treat their customers like dogs. You are constantly heckled for payment (even after staying for weeks and paying every other day). You are not allowed to borrow even a piece of tape. I have never encountered such rudeness in service staff before in my life. No apologies from any of the staff even after I complained and emailed the manager. They obviously DO NOT WANT YOUR BUSINESS. 

If you like to be aggressively scowled at when walking into the lobby, hounded for money, and treated like you are being done a massive favor then by all means, give you money to these cretons. 

There are dozens of other hotels on this street and the one parallel (The Thao Nhi is excellent) run by nice people that care about customers and customer experience. Pick one of those.

Regarding the physical aspects of the stay: half of the days there was drilling going on above my room (and I was NOT notified of this in advance) that was so loud that my Skype partners could NOT EVEN HEAR ME TALK OVER IT. That is embarassingly bad. The hotel is also next to a night club, that blasts music all night long (til about 2 or 3 am). There is an audible rumble of bass in the rooms.

All in all, the worst customer service of my life and being treated like dirt were enough to write a review (this is actually my first review....the service was so bad that I created an account just to write this review....after, of course, emailing the owner and talking to staff and telling them that a simple apology would prevent this review, but they told me: WE DONT CARE)

Worst Service Experience in Entire Life. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

We booked three rooms for my family which was visiting me from Australia.

The air conditioning in my granddaughters' room wasn't working, and it took until late at night before it was finally fixed, keeping the kids up long after their bedtime.

My son and daughter-in-law's room stank of raw sewage and they asked for a room change.  They were moved to a room at the front of the hotel.   As it turned out it was opposite a bar with a band that played at what seemed million decibels until well after midnight.  My son said that the room was literally vibrating and they did not get to sleep until after 1 o'clock.

The next day they asked if they could again change rooms because of the noise, and were moved to yet another room.

The hotel them informed me that this room was an upgrade and I had to pay another USD 14.  While it was a relatively small amount, I was furious that management should be so unscrupulous and unprincipled as to try to charge us extra to fix the problems of their own making.

I demanded a refund for the next two days, which was given, and we moved out.

Stay at this hotel if you want a steam bath with no air conditioning, a room that smells like a toilet that has not been cleaned in six months, or a room akin to a karaoke bar.
