Basic, but clean, quiet, and very good staff. Excellent value for what you pay. I would not hesitate to recommend. 

Good location as well - about a block up from the main strip. Close enough that it's a very short walk to everything, but not nearly as noisey as the hotels along the street. 

Staff speaks English quite well if that is important.

Great value

Well located hotel and good value for money. It's a family run place with a very friendly vibe. The staff goes an extra mile to help out with all your bookings. The rooms are basic but clean and equipped all right. 

Super helpful staff 

We arrived after a 4 hour journey to the hotel and were easily checked in. The hotel itself is located in a convenient part of Cat Ba town. The room was basic although had everything we needed. Such good value for money and breakfast was included in our room rate - £17 for two night stay! Staff were very friendly and helped us organise transportation and a day trip to Lan Ha Bay, all prior to our arrival which was a big bonus! Would stay here again if visiting Cat Ba. Thank you!! 

Good stay at Cat Ba Family Hotel

Hotel is situated in the middle of CatBa center and offers good value for money. The staff is very friendly and helped us with booking bus tickets to our next destination and also arranged a nice boat tour to Halong bay (with the company ‘green trail’). Furthermore, we could check in early in the morning without extra costs and received free water bottles at arrival and when checked out. Would definitely recommend this place!!

Great place

The staff at Cat Ba Family Hotel went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay on the Island and had everything we needed. At one stage the owner even checked with our driver before we paid to ensure he was not over charging us for a trip to the beach. They really make customer service a priority. The facilities are clean and comfortable (and the mango pancakes for breakfast are yum). All in all, it is highly recommended.

Exceptional Customer Service

We stayed 2 nights, the room was cosy and clean. Just a little off from the Main Street close to motorbike rentals and main restaurants. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Air conditioning and fan provided, we had a top room with a view down to the street, suggest keeping curtains closed and windows closed while out, to keep the room cool. We did have two power outages while there, it was the whole area though and it was on a weekend so there were a lot of people visiting. Overall we had a lovely time there, breakfast was included I had the pineapple pancakes and my partner had eggs and toast and they were both very yummy! Would highly recommend.

Friendly, Comfortable and Clean

Two hundred metres from the main road , the hotel is well located . It’s run by a family , the son Tom and his good-looking  wife are present 24x7 ,looking after your needs and answering your queries . The deluxe room is large overlooking the road. Bathroom –toilet were clean but poorly lit. Toileteries were enough for the price paid. The telephone was not working but would have been corrected if we had complained. Breakfast spread is not large but sufficient and good. The lift starts on the first floor , so be prepared to climb a flight of stairs. Outside the hotel a sofa and chairs are laid out , with sheesha and jasmine tea available at all times of the day for free. Lovely stay …..will stay again.

Comfortable and personal care

We stayed for a couple of nights and the room was basic but clean and comfortable. The staff, particularly the owner was really helpful and kind. If you want luxury then this isn’t the place for you but for the money, it’s great

Value for money

The hotel was nice and clean and just off the main st of cat ba. The staff were super friendly and helpful. 
My only small criticisms were no safe in the room and no fridge. The bed was probably a little too firm for us and we’d of preferred a little more than 1 sheet on the bed. Saying that, a nice stay in Cat ba in a clean budget hotel
