This homestay is a peaceful and beautiful oasis in the Mekong delta. The owner and his family are kind and welcoming people. He plans his own tours with the guest’s experience foremost in mind. He helped me with onward travel, was a great and thoughtful host. The food was excellent and the rooms clean and comfortable. Mosquito net and fan provided. I loved staying here.

An Oasis in the Mekong Delta

The home stay was a very good experience. We had a Vietnamese food cooking lesson that was not only fun but we then got to eat what we made - along with a huge sumptuous meal. Everyone was so nice. The location was remote which was what we wanted. There were fruit trees in the garden which always fascinates me, living in a big city where I never see fruit growing (lol). Not a place for people who need all the amenities but I loved it.

Rustic and beautiful

It had everything we needed, the host was very entertaining & genuinely a lovely guy.  We cooked some of our own dinner & they did the rest which was gorgeous, his family was lovely aswell. The beds were comfy, the rooms were more than adequate with mozzie nets over all the beds.  We went for an awesome bike ride the next day which was awesome on these trails around the delta.  Loved it.

Lovely

What a beautiful tucked away stopover. Felt like we were a million miles from anywhere. Arrived by combination of boat & bicycle (100% boat possible). Make to feel very welcome. lovely clean and well kept/furnished rooms with aircon and free WiFi! lovely food, fun to try cooking with the family. Highly recommend as a wonderful way to experience the quiet village life on the Mekong.

Tranquil hidden gem

Doing a round trip from north to south and till now all the lunch stops we made were from bad to just okay.
Here i had the wow experience, so munch effort they have putting in decorating the food and the taste of the food.
Friendly and beautiful place.

We stayed with Nguyen and his family when we visited Vinh Long and wanted to stay with a family on the island. Nguyen was a great host, giving us lots of advice, showing us how his family lives, allowing us to help prepare dinner and providing us with mountain bikes.

We could sadly only stay one night on our journey through the Mekong Delta but it was a relaxing and rewarding stay. Using the bikes we cycled around a large part of the west of An Binh island seeing only one other tourist and stopping at road/path-side stalls to buy fruit, take pictures and chat with friendly locals.

The ferry ride is fun (you do have to pay, although it's only 1k on foot and 2k with bike each way if I remember correctly), haggle with the xe ôm drivers when you get off the boat to get to the homestay (30k pp I think) and just enjoy the peace and quiet away from busy Vinh Long.

Peaceful homestay on An Binh

We stayed at Ba Linh homestay for 2 days (1 night). After arriving from Ho Chi Minh, it was really nice to arrive in the countryside, in a really charming and peaceful property. Nguyen was really responsive and him and his family were really lovely, welcoming and helpful, notably to give us tips to arrange our further travel to Can Tho.

The rooms are basic but big, clean and comfortable and they worked well for us. I really loved helping prepare the dinner with the family in their kitchen in traditional Vietnamese style at night and cycling around the island the next day. The island is absolutely beautiful and car-free and the homestay has a number of bikes that are available to rent. 

After coming back from a hectic Ho Chi Minh and travelling in bus for a few hours, staying at the homestay for 2 days turned out to be a really peaceful and relaxing stop on our trip throughout Vietnam (and the food was delicious!). I would warmly recommend it to anyone coming in the area!

Really nice stay at Ba Linh homestay

We spent here two nights and can strongly recommend this place. The family is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but comfortable and we had great nights of sleep. Go for the dinner at their place, with some free cooking lessons. Absolutely delicious and in a great setting! As for activities, we did the morning tour they organise, and this was a great experience! On the second day we cycled in An Binh - much recommended. 

Finally, they super helpful in arranging our transfer to Ben Tre. 

Superb stay in nature

Loved this truly authentic experience.
Away from all the hustle and bustle of  saigon. Very tranquil and peaceful. The only noise was that of wildlife. 
Very welcoming family, who included us in the cooking experience  which was great fun. Functional room, albeit very thin walls, so could here  other residents,  and dare say they heard us!
Very dark area for exploring as no Street lights on tracks. Only downside was severe mosquito  bites, probably as situated near water. That said would visit again

Monzie attack

Beautiful place to get away from the craziness of Vietnamese big city and to get to know the local way of life.
The team is great and the place is really relaxing. 
We really recommend this place to stay along Vinh long
