This is a unique lodge to stay in the Mekong Delta. A very strong team of 4 women, a beautiful wel maintained garden. They offer everything from breakfast to dinner, cooking classes, tour in Mekong delta with very good guides at a reasonable price. They help you sorting out transportation from Ho Chi Min - Saigon. Hue and Than are well trained super hosts with a lot of experience and a not to be beaten smile and friendliness. You can communicate easy with them on WhatsApp

My wife and I had a 3 - day stay here some days ago. I must say, it is a truly wonderful vacation. Everything is perfect, the landscape, the environment, the staff and the resort owner (Ms. Hue). By our last day we had been taken to the ferry by Ms. Hue and her man, it is bit surprising memory, haha. 
I would recommend you all to come and try this (the resort), to taste the local dishes, the hospitality and more…
Surely will come back.

Highly recomended!

This was the perfect place to stay after am exhausting but wonderful trip around Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Our son came up from HCMC to join as and said he would recommend it to all his friends living there as a great break away from the city. Pool, massages drinks always available and choice to eat under cover or on the veranda. The trips out were well priced and just long enough

We stayed at Mekong Ecolodge overnight during a 2-day Mekong Delta trip we booked in HCM. 

Good bits
Amazing staff, they could not do more for us and Tuay, who spoke the best English was superb and really helpful. 

Food was really good, I read on a comment here that food is expensive - it really isn't. The staff were really good and even checked when we couldn't finish all our food - the portions were great and we were just full!

The little bungalows are very cute and really nicely decorated on arrival. Outdoor shower was exciting with good heat and water pressure. 

Other points;
Yes, you're in the jungle. So there might be some noise and some bugs around, but it's part of the experience and certainly not the fault of the hotel - you are by no means slumming it. The rooms are also very reasonable on Booking.com so if you are paying a lot, check with your agent and do your research.

All in all a great experience, especially when we were considering 'just another day' on the beach. This was memorable and highly enjoyable.

Amazing experience, excellent and brilliant staff!

Our stay at Mekong Ecolodge was excellent. We learned a lot about the vietnamese culture and the food was excellent. The people are very friendly.

Excellent

Truly memorable stay. Rooms were clean, food was good and plentiful and staff were helpful and pleasant. But the most memorable part was the bike ride (organised by the lodge) where we met the people who live on the river.

What a memorable experience

Connecting with real people and the Delta

We staff very friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The food was delicious and well priced for the portion sizes. 

The rooms were clean, with aircon and mosquito net for comfort. The bathrooms were also clean and a nice touch to shower outdoors (still private). 

The only downside is the tours offered are quite expensive so I’d recommend finding tours in the main centre. Which was a quarter of the price. 

Overall though we had a great time and felt relaxed during our stay.

Relaxing and accomodating 

We recently spent 2 nights at the Ecolodge and cannot fault the staff and the activities provided (cooking class, fishing). The food was all fresh, locally sourced and expertly prepared. As a family, we also enjoyed using the bikes provided to explore the island. The first afternoon/evening we were 'treated' to the tone-deaf neighbour's endless karaoke (see previous review) but this is outside the control of the Ecolodge. The next day he mercifully put his mike away. We could hear the traffic at the nearby ferry but didn't find this a problem.

Attentive staff and a wonderful setting

From the start, the staff were very attentive and organised a car to take us down to the area from Saigon, then a staff member came across on the ferry and escorted us to the Ecolodge, one minute's walk from the ferry.  

All rooms are separate bungalows that provide privacy and are just gorgeous, with outdoor bathroom attached.  When not too hot can open up all the shutters on the windows, then can close up if you need the aircon on.

One night was very noisy with frogs making a loud noise most of the night right outside our bungalow. I guess that's the price you pay for being in an Ecolodge so can't really complain.  The other 2 nights we stayed were fine.

Tours around the island on bikes were great fun and met small business owners making different products.  Very interesting and local very friendly.

Idyllic

The name suggests an idyllic hideaway in the tropical rainforest! It would have been if it was not for the constant noise from traffic on the adjacent road from the ferry, the boats on the water and the noisy nocturnal wildlife.  Never heard the Karaoke bar mentioned in a previous review, maybe its closed down.  Having said that the restaurant was very good, one night we had a cooking class to cook our own meal.  The staff were very attentive, polite and our guide took us on several bike rides around the island and even over to the mainland on the ferry.
